How Klakk Works
Klakk reacts to key presses and plays a selected sound locally on your Mac. In Klakk's audio settings, choose an output device or use System Default to follow the Mac's selected output. Headphones contain the added audio; physical keyboard sound remains.
What happens when you type
With Input Monitoring permission, playback enabled and an active trial or license, Klakk responds to keyboard events and plays the chosen pack. Typed content and keyboard events are not stored or uploaded. Usage and licensing communications are described separately in the privacy policy.
Choose the audio output
Open Klakk Settings → Audio and review Output Device. System Default follows the Mac's selected output; choosing a listed device directs Klakk's audio to that device. After connecting headphones, check this setting and the volume. This does not change the physical sound of the keyboard.
Product boundary
Physical switch clicks, keycap impact, stabilizer rattle, case resonance, and desk vibration remain physical sounds. Hardware or workspace changes are required when the goal is to make the room quieter.
