For a click with your normal typing

“Keyboard click sound” can mean several different things. Choose the section that matches what you want.
Add mechanical-style audio while you type
Klakk plays sounds in response to keypresses, including when you type in your everyday apps. Start with the Mac setup guide: install from the official DMG or App Store, allow Input Monitoring, and choose your preferred sound.
Use the app’s volume control to keep the effect comfortable. Headphones can route the generated sound to you without broadcasting it through speakers. This does not change the physical sound of the keys themselves.
Understand macOS Slow Keys sounds
Apple provides a sound option within Slow Keys, an accessibility feature that changes how long a key must be held before it is accepted. This is a different input behavior from adding sound to your normal typing.
If you need that accessibility feature, follow Apple’s keyboard response-speed guide. Do not enable Slow Keys just to get a cosmetic click unless you also want its acceptance delay. A typing sound app is the relevant option when you want added audio while keeping your usual typing behavior.
Stop an unwanted sound
First identify where it comes from. Quit any keyboard sound app and type again. If the added sound stops, adjust that app’s playback or volume setting. If an accessibility sound is involved, review the corresponding macOS setting. If the sound still comes from the keys with speakers muted, it is physical keyboard noise.
Physical noise needs a hardware or desk change. A sound app cannot make a switch, stabilizer or desk impact quieter.
If Klakk is silent or feels delayed
Check playback, the selected pack and app volume. In Klakk’s audio settings, check the output device; choose System Default if you want it to follow the Mac’s selected output. Also check Input Monitoring and whether the trial or license is active. Follow the Mac no-sound checklist if you still hear nothing.
For timing, compare the same sentence using speakers or wired headphones before judging a Bluetooth connection. The trial is the place to test your own setup; there is no universal latency figure for every audio path.
